Instructions
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with hot water until completely dissolved. This creates a brown sugar syrup. Allow it to cool for a few minutes.
Brew 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method. Let it sit for a minute to cool slightly.
In a cocktail shaker or a jar with a lid, combine the cooled brown sugar syrup and the espresso.
Fill the shaker or jar halfway with ice cubes.
Put the lid on securely and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well combined and frothy.
In a tall glass, add fresh ice cubes to your desired level.
Strain the shaken espresso into the glass over the ice.
Pour the milk over the espresso mixture and stir gently to combine.
If desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for a fancy finish.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
